11 Reasons We Are Thankful For Living In Indiana

Celebrates various aspects of Indiana that residents are thankful for, especially on Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Those of you who are taking the time to read this on Thanksgiving – y'all are awesome! Have a wonderful day with your family. Maybe you can leave me a comment and tell me what your favorite food you will be consuming today is.

Yesterday, I told you guys about reasons the entire country should be thankful for Indiana. How about we talk about reasons why we are thankful for Indiana?

1. All of the gorgeous barns

Both old and new, there are so many gorgeous barns in the state of Indiana I don't know about you, but I just love looking at them! They make great picture opportunities too!

2. Hoosier families

I know this isn't true of everyone, but I know tons of people who were born in Indiana and lived here all of their lives. Best part? All of their family members (or at least the family members they like) live here too.

3. Biscuits and gravy

This is a fine southern dish that Hoosiers have really taken a liking to. Need I say more?

4. Cornfields

Yes, I take very opportunity possible to include corn and cornfields in an article. It is a JOKE because people assume Indiana is all about corn. I don't know about you, but I am kind of thankful for this. They don't come here and bug us because they think we are just corn!

5. The Colts

Even if you don't like sports, the Colts are a great excuse to dress up in all blue and act crazy.

6. Gorgeous courthouses

I don't know about you, but I think Indiana has some pretty incredible looking courthouses! They kind of look like castles!

7. How beautiful our state is

I don't know about you, but I am thankful we have photographers who capture gorgeous shots of Indiana like this.

8. The price of a gallon of milk

The average price of a gallon of milk in the United States is $3.39. If you go to the right stores... You can get milk for at least $1 cheaper than that in the Hoosier state. I usually just wait till Kroger has half gallons 10 for $10 and stock up on milk then.

9. Everyone is so nice and friendly

Hoosier hospitality is definitely something to be thankful for.

10. We get to experience all four seasons

Sure, sometimes we experience all four seasons in the same week. At least we are not stuck in a state that only experiences one or two seasons...

11. We have an entire city dedicated to Santa Claus

Need I say more?

Why are YOU thankful for living in Indiana? Tell me in the comments and share this piece with your friends and tell them to have a nice Thanksgiving! Personally? I'm thankful for being pregnant on Thanksgiving. I will be eating my pregnant heart out!
