Seriously. With all the top rankings awarded to cities in the Palmetto State this year it seems as if South Carolina is headed toward world domination – the good kind. We might as well go ahead and get the t-shirt factory printing the “#1 in the Universe” shirts for us, because that’s where the Palmetto State is headed: #1 in the Universe.
Most recently, Conde Nast Traveler thrust yet another number one title onto Charleston, naming the Holy City the “Friendliest City in the World,” and we couldn’t agree more!
Charleston’s Waterfront Park is appropriately adorned with a giant pineapple fountain. The pineapple is universally accepted as the symbol of hospitality and now, so is Charleston.
