There’s A Dinosaur-Themed Mini-Golf Course In South Carolina, Professor Hacker’s Adventure, And You’ll Want To Go
How long has it been since you played a round of miniature golf? The fun sport of miniature golf may have been invented in our neighboring North Carolina way back in 1916, but here in South Carolina, we really know how to take a game of mini-golf to the next level.
Take Professor Hacker's Lost Treasure Golf, for instance.
It's here that you can putt your way through adventures on two separate mini-golf courses, all the while dodging enormous prehistoric creatures that loom and tower overhead, perch on the side of the course as if ready to devour your every last bone, and lurk in the many ponds that surround the courses.
We South Carolinians are accustomed to alligators in the ponds at golf courses... but dinosaurs?? Not so much.
The story of Professor Hacker beckons anyone who hears it to help the great Professor out after his hot air balloon dropped into an ancient prehistoric canyon filled with dinosaurs.
Soon after the balloon crash landed, he summoned his 85-foot ship, the R.S. Jurassic Explorer.
You'll find it in North Myrtle Beach on US-17 between 17th Avenue South and 18th Avenue South.
The hours for Professor Hacker’s Lost Treasure Golf are from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. seven days a week. Current prices for your first round of mini-golf are $12 for ages 5 and up; ages 4 and under are $5 with a metal putter and free with a plastic putter. A second round of golf is $6. Keep the dinosaur adventure rolling hot while you’re already in the Myrtle Beach area and also hit up this dinosaur-themed restaurant for some more dinosaur entertainment and delicious food!
