Meander deep into the woods along the Pocasset Ridge Trail in Tiverton, an easy 3.4-mile out-and-back trek that's simply beautiful in all four seasons
The trail runs through the Pocasset Ridge Conservation Area, a 1,500-acre natural area that boasts 18 miles of hiking trails.
However, before you head out, make sure you have a few things with you. Binoculars are essential if you feel like birdwatching. This is a prime spot for viewing birds.
While the trail is easy, you'll deal with a variety of terrain, including some rocky sections. Make sure you wear sturdy shoes to help you maneuver those rocky spots.
No matter the time of the year you hike, carry everything you need with you. Bring plenty of water; dress for the weather, and let someone know where you'll be.
What you won't find along the trail are dogs as they're not allowed. Chances are you won't run into many people either; this trail tends to be quite quiet, making it perfect if you want some alone time.
While it's not technically a rock maze, you'll have to navigate around rocks and tree roots that might make you think you've entered a maze. Pay attention as you walk, so you don't trip.
