Shorty's Lunch in Washington has been serving its famous hot dogs since it opened in the 1930s, nearly a century ago.

If you happen to walk past the Pennsylvania staple on West Chestnut Street, you'll likely see the hot dogs turning on the grill.

How could you not go in? Shorty's, which has been owned by the Alexas family since the beginning, has two locations - the original on West Chestnut Street and another on Jefferson Avenue, also in Washington.

Slip into one of the cozy booths or, for a real throwback experience, grab one of the stools at the counter.
