The Hike To This Secluded Beach In Pennsylvania Is Positively Amazing

Most people probably wouldn’t associate Pennsylvania with sandy beaches, except those nestled along Lake Erie. However, Pennsylvania boasts its fair share of beaches, tucked away in state parks all across the state. This picturesque path wanders through a lush wooded area with gorgeous lake views and leads to a secluded beach in Pennsylvania. If you’re seeking peace, quiet, and breathtaking views of the water, you’ve found the perfect trail.

Snuggled along the shores of Lake Erie, Erie Bluffs State Park offers a quieter option than the busier Presque Isle State Park, especially if you want to explore.

Swimming is not permitted at Erie Bluffs State Park, but you can still enjoy the stunning scenery, especially on the Transition and Black Oak Savanna Trails Loop from Elk Creek Trailhead.

Tallying just under three miles, the picturesque path is rated easy, so it's perfect for hikers of all ages and skill levels. Pups are also allowed on the path.

You will deal with slight elevation, so be prepared for that challenge. Hikers recommend bringing a map as the trail markings aren't really up to par.

Stay aware of your surroundings as you might pass fallen trees and roots jutting out of the ground.

The quiet trail promises an abundance of natural beauty, including the chance to spot local wildlife, like deer. You might even spot a bald eagle overhead if you're lucky.

Journey through the lush forest, where you'll happen upon various overlooks that offer absolutely gorgeous views of the lake.

The trail leads down to the lake, so you can dip your feet in the water and just enjoy the views.
