Visit The Grand Canyon Of PA, Pine Creek Gorge, For The Most Beautiful Leaf Peeping
Autumn might just hold the title of the most beautiful season of the year, especially in Pennsylvania. We have so many places to view the fall foliage that no matter where in the state we live, we can admire the colorful palette of the season. Some spots, however, promise leaf peeping in Pennsylvania that just surpasses all expectations. Here’s just one of those places.
Step into an autumn wonderland when you visit Leonard Harrison State Park or Colton Point State Park, both of which offer sensational views of Pine Creek Gorge.
However, if you'd like to see both the overhead views and views from the canyon floor, set off on the Turkey Path Trail. The two-mile loop trail is difficult but will take you to a waterfall, down wooden stairs, and to scenic overlooks.
Don't just visit the Grand Canyon of PA during the fall, however. You'll discover beautiful views all year around.
To reach the park's scenic overlooks, follow the one-mile Rim Trail. The easy trail is predominately flat and also offers stellar views of the canyon below.
