7 Themed Restaurants That Will Transform Your Portland Dining Experience
Portland themed restaurants are few and far between. While trendy dining hot spots and dive bars abound around every corner, themed restaurants are not nearly as plentiful. However, we have compiled a list of the 7 best in the city. Next time you want to venture out of the ordinary, check out these themed restaurants around town.
1. Hopworks Bike Bar
Cycling culture is big at this local brewery with two locations in the city. While the Bike Bar is themed around bicycling, as with all Hopworks locations, there is a robust kids menu and all locations are very family friendly.
Hopworks Bike Bar is located at 3847 N Williams, and the Hopworks Urban Brewery is located at 2944 SE Powell.
2. McMenamins Kennedy School
You don't need much of a theme when you build your restaurant and bar in an old elementary school building. This Portland institution may not give you homework, but you will feel like you are in school again as your stroll the halls between drinks at the many bars.
Mcmenamins Kennedy School is located at 5736 NE 33rd Avenue.
3. Rimsky-Korsakoffee House
If you want to have a coffee and cake with a side of spooky, this is the place to do it. Recently voted one of the best bathrooms in the city, this coffee house has plenty of scares up its sleeve - even in the bathroom.
The Rimsky-Korsakoffee House is located at 707 SE 12th Avenue.
4. Bollywood Theater
This Indian street food cafe serves up some seriously delicious food, while projecting old Bollywood movies on the wall.

This space and alien-themed bar and restaurant is out of this world.
Space Room Lounge is located at 4800 SE Hawthorne Boulevard.
