Eischen’s Bar is the oldest bar in Oklahoma but it’s really more of a family-friendly restaurant. This beloved dining gem has been in operation since 1896 and has become famous over the years for its fried chicken. They have impressive reviews with thousands of five stars so if you’re a fan of history and fried chicken, Eischen’s should be at the top of your dining bucket list.
Eischen's Bar is located in the small town of Okarche, between Kingfisher and El Reno. It started as a watering hole then had to close during Prohibition but reopened in the 1930s.
In 1993 a fire broke out in the restaurant but this Spanish handmade back bar was salvaged and repurposed in the renovation. It was won by the owner's son on a hunting trip in the 1940s.
Eischen's isn't your typical bar. It's more of a family-friendly restaurant that serves delicious food and has some great beer options. The vibe is casual and upbeat and you'll find guests that have been eating here their whole life.
Other menu items include cheese or chili nachos and Frito pie. The menu is simple but as mentioned before, the fried chicken is what people travel across the state for...it won't disappoint.
