Quanah Parker Lake is a reservoir with only three miles of shoreline but it's one of the most peaceful places you'll ever find. This majestic lake might be small but it packs a mighty big impression. No motorized boats are allowed so this place is very chill and relaxed.

It is located inside the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge and is surrounded by mountains on all sides.

It's a very popular fishing spot, so be sure and bring your rod. At the end of the lake is a dam that was built in the 1930s and the architecture is just beautiful.

You can drive right up to the lake, so if you have a kayak it's very convenient to drive right up and put it in the water.

Be prepared to fall in love: this is one of the most beautiful lakes in Oklahoma.

There is also a fun bridge to hike over, plus there are plenty of hiking trails in the area if you want to take a hike.

It's a wonderland of beauty for anyone who finds themselves amazed by the natural world. We're only a little obsessed!

The lake is not the best option for swimming as there are water snakes and snapping turtles, so please use caution.

It's fun to look, but don't get in - that would be a bad idea.
