Everybody knows that Heavenly Mountain, located in South Lake Tahoe, is a paradise for winter recreation in regards to ski and snowboarding. However, there's one aspect to this park that is highly underrated and worth checking out—the snow tubing run!

Tubing is a great option for those of us who love the thrill of rushing down a snowy mountain but don't exactly have the necessary skills to hop on a pair of skis anytime soon. Almost anybody can participate in snow tubing, and it's a blast no matter what.

Located at the top of Heavenly's gondola, the tubing hill is a great activity that can thrill both young and old. All riders must be at least 42-inches tall to ride down the main tubing hill. However, shorter riders can always take advantage of the mini-tubing hill that's adjacent to the main one.

Once at the top of the hill, you'll lift off and begin your speedy descent down a 500-foot-long tubing run. Complete with a 65-foot vertical drop, this may just be the most exciting tubing attraction in all of Northern California.

Not to mention that view! With a peak elevation of 10,067-feet, the view from Heavenly Mountain is breathtaking in every sense of the word. The stunning vista of mountains surrounding you just makes this experience all the more memorable.

Heavenly Mountain will officially open for the 2019/2020 season on November 22, so get ready. Tubing tends to sell out early in the day so definitely prepare to snag your passes early if you can.

There are few things as tremendously fun as sitting on your butt and riding down a mountain at full speed. Make visiting this incredible tubing run a priority this winter season and prepare for the thrill of a lifetime!
