The Natural Water Slide In Northern California Most People Don’t Know About

Shasta Lake is an amazing vacation destination here in Northern California, but few people have heard of the natural water slide located just a 20 minute hike from the lake’s shores. Known as Little Backbone Creek, this gorgeous swimming hole should be on everyone’s bucket list.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. We definitely recommend sliding down the falls. Look how much fun these gals are having!

Be sure to pack out any trash and leave the place cleaner than you found it. It’s a remarkable natural treasure, and we want to make sure it stays that way for generations to come. Fast forward to about 2:10 to see someone climb up the rope and slide on in.
