These 10 Amazing Breakfast Spots In Northern California Will Make Your Morning Just Right
I hear breakfast is the most important meal of the day. What say you? Is it the egg dishes or fluffy pancakes with warm syrup and butter that tempt you the moment your eyes flutter open in the morning? When you are known for making a great breakfast your fans are about as loyal as they come. If you’re looking to impress those first meal of the morning kind of friends, have we got a list for you!
456 Grass Valley Hwy Auburn
Lemon chiffon pancakes with raspberry jam, anyone? You'll love to hear what this customer said, "Once my wife saw that Katrina served home-made corned beef. She didn't need to look any further. She ordered the home made corned beef with scrambled eggs with country potatoes and sour dough toast." The only bummer is that they only take cash and local checks, no credit cards. The good news is they have an ATM there!
2. Hippie's Brew
21988 Foothill Blvd Hayward
Ever heard of a French Toast sandwich? Now you have. Filled with cheese and baked ham, it seems to be quite the hit with the hippies...ahem...customers here.
3. The Red Hut Cafés
2723 Lake Tahoe Blvd South Lake Tahoe
Heading up to Tahoe for the weekend? Coming here to jet ski before summer comes to an end? Then make sure to stop here for the most important meal of the day. It's the bomb.
4. Sweetie Pie's
577 Main Street Placerville
This is a homemade biscuit...cut in half with homemade jam on one side and honey on the other. I LOVE it here! If this photo seems a little understated when it comes to their incredible breakfast, then I've done my job. I want to be honest about this amazing place, but not encourage millions to make my wait for a seat any longer.
5. Amy's Delight
401 W Harris St Eureka
If you're looking to sit with the locals and hear all the town news, this is the place. Delicious breakfast plus fun company. Here you go!
6. Doug's Place
20871 Redwood Rd Castro Valley
This mouthwatering Belgian waffle is killing me. I want to go to there. Doug's has been around for quite a while and the lines can get pretty long on the weekends, so get there early! So worth it!
7. Apple Fritter
1901 S Norfolk St San Mateo
This customer filled up on donuts and had this to say, "Green tea, power berry, sea salt cinnamon roll, maple chocolate fritter, banana fritter, maple bacon bar and maple custard bar! They have pretty much everything here!"
8. Alana's Cafe
1408 Burlingame Ave Burlingame
Oatmeal pancakes with fresh homemade jam. Scones. Scones. Real syrup. There's a reason Alana's is a favorite in Burlingame. Believe the people--they know what they're talking about!
209 Salem St Chico
The name alone should make you want to come here. But, if that's not enough, what about their huevos rancheros? Exactly. I knew you'd come around.
10. Barn Burner
4800 Granite Dr Rocklin
Heavenly breakfast foods just await your arrival. Like their angel food pancakes and quinoa something or other. Head over here and don't even think of going anywhere else.
I admit it. I’m more of a brunch person myself. But, after reading all about these places above, I’m a new breakfast convert!
