The Secret Waterfall In North Dakota That Most People Don’t Know About
North Dakota is stereotyped for being flat, treeless, and nothing but wide open fields. The people who think those things would be proven entirely wrong at this one spot in the state. Not only does it have North Dakota’s one-and-only, beautiful waterfall, but it’s also hidden in a state forest. Most people don’t know about it this place but more people should, and here’s why:
The North Country National Scenic Trail spans all the way from New York to North Dakota and has some very interesting spots along the way.
The waterfall is called Mineral Springs Waterfall and forms from a small underground spring that eventually flows into the Sheyenne River. The hike to the waterfall is 2.3 miles and meanders through the forest.
At the end of the trail is the lovely Mineral Springs Waterfall. It softly trickles down the ledge and onwards towards the river, and you can spend hours here just enjoying it.
