The Board Game Cafe In North Carolina That’s Oodles Of Fun
Just when you thought you’d seen and done it all in the Tar Heel State, someone comes along and proves you wrong with a cafe devoted to America’s favorite past time of yesteryear. If you remember the days before cell phones, social media and a bevy of other modern distractions, then you likely remember hauling out a board game on occasion and making an actual connection IRL (stands for ‘in real life’) with someone sitting across the table from you.
Well, those days have returned at North Carolina's first ever board game cafe called Well Played. Check it out:
And not just pretzels and M&Ms, either. There's a whole menu that includes sandwiches, a variety of grilled cheese creations, salads, flatbreads, and snack boards filled with cheese or pita with hummus.
Their game selection is bigger than the games department at Walmart. They have new (as in just invented) games and they have classics. Plus, you'll find stacks and stacks of card and dice games.
Well Played, the board game cafe, is located at 58 Wall St., Asheville, NC 28801. It’s open seven days a week: Sunday – Thursday from noon to 10:00 p.m. and Friday – Saturday from noon to 1:00 a.m. Learn more on the official website of Well Played, the board game cafe.
