Visit The Stunning Owen’s Orchids, The Oldest & Most Prestigious Orchid Farm In North Carolina

If you or someone you know is an avid orchid enthusiast, then Owen's Orchids in Pisgah Forest (near Brevard, North Carolina) belongs on the bucket list of orchid growers to visit in the Carolinas. Owen's has been growing and developing orchids since the 1960s and rest assured, they are experts in the field.

The greenhouse is open to the public for a few hours every day and a visit here is undoubtedly any orchid lovers' dream trip.

But don't expect to find only the most common of orchids here. Owen's is widely regarded throughout the southeast for their many rare varieties.

The business regularly attends orchid shows around the nation, too. Their orchids and displays constantly win awards.

Their Facebook page posted recently that they are open, but you should call ahead to schedule a time for a visit to the greenhouse if you want it all to yourself.

That number is 828-884-5250. The greenhouse is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. - 4 p.m. It's also open on Saturday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Owen's Orchids is located approximately five miles northeast of Brevard.
