The Gorgeous Garden Maze In North Carolina That Will Enchant You At Every Turn

North Carolina is home to a variety of delightful gardens (you can see two of them here, and here) and they’re all charming in their own way. But not every garden has the maze-like layout of the formal Latham Garden at Tryon Palace in New Bern.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now:

The next time you’re in or near New Bern, head to Tryon Palace. If you can’t budget an entire day to explore everything there is to do at this attraction, then at least plan to spend a morning or afternoon checking out the gardens – and the captivating maze of the formal garden room known as the Latham Garden.

Tickets for all of the attractions at Tryon Palace (including the North Carolina State Museum) are $20/adults and $10/youth grades 1-12. A Gardens Only pass is $6/adults and $3/youth grades 1-12. For more information, see this link on the official website! For hours of operation – and a possible discounted ticket price (for the all-inclusive pass) due to renovations taking place at the Pepsi Family Center and Dixon House, check out this link on the website.

Address: 529 South Front Street, New Bern, NC, 28562
