Founded by New Yorker Joe Scaravella, the restaurant originally featured Italian grandmothers as a way to pay homage to Scaravella's roots and beloved female family members.
Over the past year though, Enoteca Maria's has broadened their staff and now has Nonnas that have come from all over the world.
From Ecuador to Syria and Bangladesh to Argentina, you can now find Nonnas from all over the world creating home-cooked meals at this incredible restaurant.

With more Nonnas joining the restaurant that have roots from all over the world, Enoteca Maria's has expanded their menu and features different options each night depending on which Nonna is cooking that day!
The restaurant keeps an Italian-based menu at all times for visitors to enjoy, with a second menu available that features food from whatever Nonna of the World is cooking that night. This gives each of the Nonnas the opportunity to showcase their culture and roots through their mind-blowing dishes. Amazing, right?
