The Underground Wine Cave At Brotherhood Winery Will Be Your New Favorite Attraction In New York
Inside New York, you can find a variety of
long-standing attractions. Whether it’s a historic lighthouse or an epic restaurant, you’ll be amazed by how long some of our favorite places have been operating inside the Empire State. Today though, we’re here to discuss a note-worthy stop that will not only make your mouth water but will also leave you feeling completely intrigued. Ready or not, this incredible underground wine cave is bound to be your new favorite stop to make!
Hiding in plain sight down in the small town of Washingtonville, Brotherhood Winery is one deliciously historic stop to make inside the Empire State.
Since 1839, Brotherhood Winery has been impressing New Yorkers with their deliciously good wine.
Today, people from all around the state of New York come to enjoy wine tastings here and to shop around for something to take back home with them.
When visitors of the winery are done enjoying wine tastings inside of old chapels and other gorgeous buildings, you might notice that they're actually sneaking away to the underground.
That's right! You'll find that every corner of Brotherhood Winery is oozing with fascinating history, and some of it lies below the surface.
Below Brotherhood Winery, you'll find an epic network of underground wine cellars - including locked-tight cellars full of wine that have been aging for so long, that they have endless layers of dust coating them.
As soon as you head underground, you'll be greeted by history, with artifacts on display that tell a greater story of Brotherhood Winery's extensive past.
Tours of the underground wine caves are given every day of the week between April and December, where guides will go into greater detail about everything you're experiencing here in Orange County.
Guests of the underground tour will get to stand in the presence of some of the oldest vintage wines in America.
With more than 200 oak barrels filled with wine down here, you'll find rows upon rows of barrels lined up along the cave walls.
There's no other attraction like this in our state, you can't help but be amazed!
