Nearly 100 Years Old, This New York Soda Fountain Is A Step Back In Time

A staple of Manhattan’s Upper East Side, Lexington Candy Shop serves up a healthy dose of nostalgia to diners who venture back in time for a relaxing breakfast or lunch. Since 1925, the restaurant has been passed down through three generations, all while maintaining the classic environment and great food that make it a local favorite to this day. Lexington Candy Shop is also offering outdoor seating during the pandemic.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now:

Lexington Candy Shop is located at the corner of 83rd St and Lexington Ave. It is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. It has a classic (and very expansive) menu, prime location, and infectious energy. Add blueberry pancakes to that list, and it’s a home run.
