The Eagle House Near Buffalo Is The Oldest Operating Restaurant In Erie County

longest standing restaurants here inside the city, but today we’re going to showcase another historic gem of Erie County that’s more than worth the quick trip it takes to get there.
Easy to find and right on Main Street in Williamsville, Buffalonians have been making their way to this delicious restaurant since back in the days when they would travel by horse-drawn wagons.
The Eagle House Restaurant has been operating in Williamsville since 1827, earning the title of being the oldest restaurant in all of Erie County.
Inside the restaurant, you'll find a formal yet cozy atmosphere waiting for you — made up of dim-lighting and brick fireplaces.
As you look around the multi-level restaurant, you'll spot history hanging all over the walls that will take you back in time.
It isn't just the historic atmosphere though that draws in Buffalonians and Western New Yorkers to Erie County's oldest establishment.
Known for cooking up classic American dishes as well as Western New York favorites, you'll be able to choose from things like Pizza Logs, French Onion Au Gratin, Welsh Rarebit & Toast Points, Wings, and Beef on Weck.
As well as other highly-rated dishes like their famous Chicken Pot Pie, mouthwatering burgers, Beef Wellington in Puff Pastry, and their well-loved Beer Battered Fish Fry. Yum!

Every Tuesday, the restaurant even hosts their Craft Draft Tuesdays where you can enjoy specials on 17 taps pouring drinks from local breweries like Ithaca Brewing, Southern Tier Brewery, Ellicottville Brewing, Hamburg Brewery, 12 Gates, and more.
