Out of everything that draws in people to this campground though, it has its very own natural lazy river! New York is a delightful state for any outdoorsy person, but should you ever decide you don’t want to roam too far from, say, Buffalo – you're in luck! There are lots of awesome campgrounds in Buffalo New York, including:  

  • Golden Hill State Park – Tour a historic lighthouse and do some of the best camping in New York at this beautiful state park.  
  • Camp Chautauqua – This is a family-friendly, privately-owned campground that the kids (and you!) are sure to love. There’s a swimming pool and LOTS of other amenities you’ll all adore.  
  • Lake Erie State Park – If you’re a fan of lakeside camping, you’ll be a huge fan of the campgrounds surrounding Lake Erie.

Of course, you don’t need to go to a state park for an excellent camping experience; there are lots of private campgrounds near Buffalo that are just as awesome – if not more so – as the public places. Some of our favorite private campgrounds in and around Buffalo are:  

  • Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park – Often referred to as “the Disneyland of campgrounds”, you cannot pass this one up, especially if you’ve got little ones in tow.  
  • Lazy Lakes Campground – This camping resort is a special experience like no other. You won’t believe the relaxation that’s possible here despite the liveliness of it all.  
  • Three Valley Campground – Another resort-like experience, this campground has amenities like a washer and dryer!
