This Incredible Kite Festival In Buffalo Is A Must-See
If you've ever traveled on the Skyway during the summer, chances are you've seen the sights of kites flying from the Outer Harbor below. This summer, mark your calendars to take a closer look at the "Sky's the Limit" kite festival.
The "Sky's the Limit" celebration is held by Tifft Nature Preserve and Buffalo Harbor State Park.
Head to the Outer Harbor on Friday, July 21 from 1-4 PM to see the kites take flight!
B.Y.O. Kite – or make your own!
The event has several craft stations and activities for kids and kids at heart! If you don't have your own kite to fly, don't worry. You can create one at the kite-making tent.
Watch the pros do their thing.
If kite-flying isn't your thing, kick back and relax to watch the pros get to work. The Great Lakes Kitefliers Society know a thing or two about flying kites, and they will be holding live kite demonstrations at the event!
Family fun for all awaits at this unique celebration.
We all know that kids have attention spans of approximately 30 seconds, right? Watching kites soar through the sky is cool, but chances are, the little ones will get over it rather quickly. This event prepares for that with kids' crafts and activities set up throughout the space at Buffalo Harbor State Park and across the street at Tifft.
Best of all? It's free!
The event is free for all to attend – and there's even free parking! Even most (if not all) of the activities are free to enjoy.
Okay, so maybe not ALL free...
But who minds spending a few dollars on a food truck meal? Some of the area's favorite food trucks frequent The Sky's the Limit celebration for your dining pleasure!
Come out and stay a while!
Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and picnic baskets, and stay a while! The Sky's the Limit celebration is a beautiful way to spend a summer's day in Buffalo.
Watching dozens of kites flying over the Outer Harbor is like something out of a fairytale. Trust us: you'll want to get a personal view of this event.
