This Public Farm In New York Is Also A Restaurant And It’s Fun For The Whole Family
Tilly Foster Farm in Brewster is a great place to spend a day with your family. This multi-purpose, working farm offers a variety of things to see and do. You can visit animals, hike the trails, go fishing, have a picnic, visit the gardens, and have a meal at the onsite farm-to-table restaurant, Tilly’s Table. This farm was once a private farm museum but today it is owned and operated by Putnam County. It belongs to the people and it is open to the public.
There is also a pond at Tilly Foster Farm if you want to bring your fishing pole. It's catch and release only, and adults will need a fishing license to participate.
In the evenings, you can get a meal at Tilly's Table. This farm-to-table restaurant is popular and well-rated; you should make a reservation in advance if you wish to dine here.
This fresh salad is very inviting as well. This restaurant also serves as a training ground for chefs in training. Students from Putnam County's BOCES' culinary arts program can practice their skills here.
Tilly Foster Farm is a very fun and exciting place! There is so much going on here and there is so much to do.
