These 8 Restaurants Serve The Best Bloody Mary In New Mexico
Nothing says brunch like a Bloody Mary. While some establishments continue to serve up a classic interpretation of this drink, others go all out and accessorize the beverage like it’s a Kardashian. So, if you’re feeling a smidge indisposed or just want to savor your Sunday, order a Bloody Mary at one of these 8 New Mexico restaurants. You won’t regret it.
During these uncertain times, please keep safety in mind and consider adding destinations to your bucket list to visit at a later date.
1. Scalo Northern Italian Grill (Albuquerque)
On weekends, Scalo offers a Bloody Mary bar where you can go wild concocting your ultimate beverage. Pair your drink with hot wings, thick cut bacon, crab meat, and so much more. The only limit is your imagination… and gravity! Head to 3500 Central Ave SE in Albuquerque to join the fun.
2. Pecan Grill and Brewery (Las Cruces)
The Sunday brunch menu at Pecan Grill features four different Bloody Marys. If you’re feeling ambitious, try the “6 Feet Under,” which includes green chile vodka, salami, a pork wing, jalapeno bacon, a roasted jalapeno, a mozzarella stick… and celery. Bring your hangover to 500 S Telshor Boulevard in Las Cruces.
3. The Ranch House (Santa Fe)
In general, The Ranch House crafts excellent mixed drinks, and the Bloody Mary is no exception. This drink stands out because it uses a signature barbecue Bloody Mary mix paired with handmade vodka, and just the right amount of spice. The Ranch House is located at 2571 Cristos Road in Santa Fe.
4. Little Toad Creek Brewery & Distillery (Silver City)
Even in New Mexico, you don’t usually get to choose whether you want a Bloody Mary “red,” “green,” or “Christmas.” However, at Little Toad Creek you can select green chile or red chile flavored vodka, or even opt for a little of both. This is far more than just a brewery and distillery; Little Toad serves up yummy salads, sandwiches, and burgers as well. You’ll find this establishment at 200 N Bullard Streeet in Silver City.
5. Stray Dog Cantina (Taos Ski Valley)
Why have a Bloody Mary when you can have a Bloody Maria? While this cozy breakfast spot is infamous for its margaritas, the folks here also make an unforgettable Bloody Maria. Go to 105 Sutton Place in Taos Ski Valley to check it out for yourself.
6. Vintage 423 (Albuquerque)
On Sundays, Vintage 423 offers a Bloody Mary bar along with their fabulous brunch. Assemble your own beverage using fairly classic accompaniments. This restaurant is also a winner of OpenTable’s Diner’s Choice 2016 Award. It is located at 8000 Paseo Del Norte Boulevard, Suite A1, in Albuquerque.
7. La Posta de Mesilla (Mesilla)
Grab the fire extinguisher because this Bloody Maria will set your mouth ablaze. It’s made with agave tequila and La Posta’s own salsa, which delivers some New Mexican heat. If you’re up for the challenge, head to 2410 Calle de San Albino in Mesilla.
8. Thunderbird Bar and Grill (Santa Fe)
If you don’t already love Bloody Marys, the bacon-infused one at Thunderbird Bar and Grill will make you a convert. In addition to bacon, it contains blue cheese-stuffed olives and an assortment of pickled vegetables – you could almost consider it a health food! This restaurant can be found at 50 Lincoln Avenue in Santa Fe.
