The Brick House Is A Charming Farmhouse Restaurant In New Jersey That Serves Up Great Steaks

The Brick House in Wyckoff, NJ, is a historic restaurant and event venue known for its Federal Greek Revival architecture and diverse menu.

One of the beautiful things about New Jersey is that we have so many well-preserved historic buildings. Some operate as museums, while others are privately owned, and others still have been repurposed into storefronts and restaurants while maintaining much of their original charm. There are dozens, perhaps hundreds of worthwhile places to visit in the Garden State, but today we're focusing on one.

The Brick House in Wyckoff is a restaurant and event venue that dates back to 1851.

It's one of Bergen County’s only examples of a Federal Greek Revival farmhouse, and it's spectacularly beautiful. It radiates historic elegance.

The ballroom makes for a refined wedding venue...

But we'll be just as happy in their beautiful bar!

Equally as amazing as the ambiance is the food. They are open seven days a week for dinner and on weekdays for lunch. There's also a Sunday family menu served from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m..

The steak is sublime, and a customer favorite. Choose between filet mignon, t-bone, grilled skirt steak, and New York strip.

They've also got seafood, soups, salads, burgers (for lunch), lamb, and roasted chicken. Of course, there's plenty more. Popular dishes include stuffed mushrooms, beef scallopini, and veal lolli-pop rib chop.

If you're not already enamored, they've got an extensive wine list and lower level cigar bar. They've also got vegetarian friendly options! The Brick House truly caters to everyone.

This historic farmhouse restaurant is most definitely worth a visit! Have you been yet? If so, what did you think? Share your experiences with us in the comments.
