Six Year Ago, This Mom & Pop Diner In New Jersey Closed Its Doors And Never Re-Opened
It's always so sad when family businesses shut their doors. This mom and pop diner in New Jersey was once a town watering hole. Now, it's full of decay and nostalgia. Take a look inside this old-fashioned diner, and be sure to watch the exploration video by YouTube channel "TheUnknownCameraman."
This diner was built in 1948, and was a community landmark until it closed in 2010.
It was originally a hot dog stand that fed the workers building the New Jersey Turnpike.
Eventually, it expanded to a 120-seat restaurant called Mom’s Peppermill.
The interior has been left almost perfectly intact, including the retro counter stools and vinyl booths.
Some of the tables are even still set for lunch.
