Atlantic City is one heck of a town – packed with casinos, restaurants, resorts, and small attractions all alongside the longest boardwalk in the world. And that’s even before you explore the sprawling beach! However, there’s one area where the place could use a boost – and that’s in family attractions. The casinos are usually adult playgrounds, but one resort owner wants to change that. In summer 2023, the Showboat Resort will become home to Island Waterpark, a huge new waterpark in New Jersey with one big difference – it’s completely indoors! That means it’ll be open all seasons of the year, turning Atlantic City into more of a vacation destination for the whole family. Construction is underway at the Showboat, and opening day this summer is sure to be an Atlantic City day to remember.
