The Library Restaurant is located in the historic Rockingham House. Built in 1785, this homesite was owned by Judge Woodbury Langdon. In November of 1833, the site was opened to the public as a hotel.

In 1844, there was a large fire that destroyed the dining room. However, Frank Jones, the owner at the time, paid the costs to preserve and recreate the room's original sophisticated and elaborate design.

Nowadays, the Rockingham Hotel is still open to the public with many of its visitors opting for dinner at The Library Restaurant. The dining room is a one-of-a-kind place and a book lover's dream. Books line the bar and tables in the dining room, lending a very fancy atmosphere to accompany your meal.

To go along with your steak, signature drinks and old classics such as Cosmos and Martinis are served.

Oysters and fresh seafood are also a popular option on The Library Restaurant menu.

The Library Restaurant offers guests excellent service, perfectly cooked steak, and a lot of history! It's open Monday through Thursday from 4 PM-9 PM and Friday and Saturday from 4 PM-10 PM. On Sundays, you can catch brunch between 11 AM and 1 PM and dinner between 1 PM and 9 PM.
