You Won’t Believe What This Woman Did In Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone is the best national park to visit in Wyoming and it attracts thousands of visitors every year. However, in 2016, onlookers gasped in horror as a mystery woman walked right up to one of the huge bison that roams wild in the park and then proceeded to pet it like a puppy dog. They were even more shocked when she walked away unharmed.

Bison injure more visitors in Yellowstone National Park than any other animal. On average, one to two visitors are injured by bison in Yellowstone National Park every single year. In fact, in 2020, one woman was gored multiple times by a bison after she came within 10-feet of the animal to capture its picture. And in 2015, five visitors were all gored by wild bison and these incidents occurred within three months of each other, which is quite unusual. Most bison attacks occur due to visitors actively approaching the animals.

It is important to remember that Yellowstone National Park is not a petting zoo and the bison in the park are wild animals. Park rangers ask that visitors stay at least 100 yards from bears and wolves and 25 yards away from all other animals.
