2. Independence Rock Trail
The historic Independence Rock offers several short trails, including one that's a 1.3-mile loop around the stunning rock. Take a detour to the top if you want to take in the breathtaking views.
3. Tongue River Canyon
Tongue River Canyon, near Dayton, offers a 3-mile out-and-back that shows off an unbelievable view that you'd never expect. Follow the river and enjoy this beautiful experience.
4. Medicine Wheel
The trail to Medicine Wheel Trail brings you to the top of one of Wyoming's most sacred sites. This 2.8-mile out and back trail takes you straight up to the top of this historic monument.

This short, steep trail is just .8 miles down to the base of Porcupine Falls. There are some rough staircases that take you down, but you do have to be steady on your feet to get down and up. The view from the bottom is worth the work!
6. Devils Tower Trail
There are several short trails around Devils Tower, and these treks around the nation's first National Monument are great for wildlife spotting. The main loop is a 1.3-mile journey around the base of the tower and everyone will enjoy it.
7. Rainbow Terraces, Hot Springs State Park
The Rainbow Terrace Trail in Thermopolis's Hot Springs State Park is a .5-mile trail that takes you to one of the park's best views! You can enjoy it on your trip to this unique town.
