This Upcoming Sunflower Festival In Wisconsin Will Make Your Summer Complete
Helene’s Hilltop Orchard hosts a Sunflower Festival with activities for all ages, and all proceeds benefit St. Jude’s.
The end of summer will be here before we know it. There’s still time for some seasonal fun, though. And if you’re looking for the perfect place for your last hurrah, we found it – and it’s the Sunflower Festival at Helene’s Hilltop Orchard. Held for two days in August and September, the festival offers plenty of opportunities to bask in the sun…flowers. The best part is that 100% of the $10 admission is donated to St. Jude’s! Take a look:
Located in Merrill, Helene’s Hilltop Orchard is a real working farm that opens to the public a few months out of the year.
There are lots of opportunities to have fun on the farm, but one of the best has got to be the Sunflower Festival, which is scheduled for Saturday, August 31, 2019, and Sunday, September 1, 2019.
Each day, the festival opens at 10 a.m. and lasts until 6 p.m. Entry is $10 per person, but like we mentioned before, 100% of that goes to St. Jude’s, so you’ll be having fun for a good cause.
The festival is centered around the farm’s 2.5-acre sunflower field, which features winding trails so you can walk among the vibrant flowers. You can even cut a bouquet to take home with you.
There are plenty of photo ops, so remember your camera. The beautiful blooms also create the perfect backdrop for a proposal, which is something to keep in mind if you’re planning on popping the question.
The fun doesn’t end there, though. A "sip and see" wine tasting event and live music are also part of the festival.
Younger ones will be just as entertained as the adults, thanks to a play area, wagon ride, and cow train ride.
No fest is complete without food, and the Sunflower Festival is no exception. A variety of eats and sweets will be available, including the farm’s famous apple pies and apple dumplings.
A "rain or shine event," the Sunflower Festival will take place regardless of the weather. If it does rain, the festival will be moved into the farm’s Barn Cellar, which is stocked with craft beers and wines.
Even if you can’t attend the Sunflower Festival, you should make plans to visit Helene’s Hilltop Orchard.
Offering fun for the entire family, the farm features lots of seasonal activities, like corn mazes, a pumpkin patch, u-pick apples, and more.
So, are you ready to have some fun and support a good cause?
