Located in Blue River, Eagle Cave is a beloved below-ground wonder that’s been delighting adventure-seekers of all ages for years.

Discovered in 1849 and inaugurated in 1938, Eagle Cave was Wisconsin’s very first show cave.

That’s not its only claim to fame, though.

With more than 3,000 feet of passageways, it is, among the many caves in Wisconsin, the state’s largest onyx cave.

Additions such as handrails, lights, and stairs, make exploring the cave a bit easier, safer...

Guided Cave Tours, which range from one to two hours, are perfect for the young and old alike, so it's a great Wisconsin family activity.

Subterranean Adventure Tours are another option.

Worth the effort, the Subterranean Adventure Tour leads visitors into passageways, which are off-limits on the Guided Cave Tour.

Eagle Cave also offers a Cave Exploratory Program, which allows visitors to actually sleep in the cave!

This program runs from the last weekend of September until the last weekend of April and requires reservations. Camping in a cave? Awesome!
