Why You Definitely Should Not Be Dreading Winter In Wisconsin
Wisconsin winters offer unique experiences like snowmobiling, wildlife watching, and enjoying Christmas lights, making the season enjoyable despite the cold.
So far, we've been skating by. Considering it's near the end of December, such little snowfall is basically unheard of. But if you've lived through enough Wisconsin winters, you know that, eventually, we will get hit hard. But no worries. Here are some reasons why you should not dread winter in Wisconsin--once it truly hits, that is.
1. Let's face it--there is nothing quite like sitting at Lambeau Field with light snow coming down.
2. Snow has the transformative power to make something already gorgeous look even more amazing!
3. It is easier to see wildlife, and don't they look cute frolicking in the snow?
4. Winter means that we can do all sorts of physical activity outside, like cross-country skiing. It's fun and it burns calories!
5. It is not so fun to drive in, but snow can make a drive beautiful.
6. When it snows, that means that kids get snow days! That is super fun for kids...for parents, not so much.
7. Christmas lights displays abound, and it is fun to drive through neighborhoods where people go all out.
8. When it's cold outside, it gives you an excuse to drink an old fashioned. You know, to warm you up.
9. No snow equals no snowmobiling. And snowmobiling is AWESOME.
10. When winter hits, everything slows down a bit, and it gives us pause to consider what means most to us.
Are you dreading winter? Or are you one of those people actually looking forward to a true Wisconsin winter?
