Hike Though West Virginia’s Blackwater Falls State Park, Then Dine At Farm Up Table

When hoping to have a wonderful day it’s nice to have a plan. (While it’s also fun to wing it, that is not always a recipe for success.) Let's have a day that checks three important boxes for a great excursion. We want to have a bit of exercise, experience amazing views, and relish delicious food. With this in mind, we have chosen Farm Up Table as the place to eat after hiking Blackwater Falls in West Virginia.

It’s going to be amazing.

Blackwater Falls is one of the most photographed sites in West Virginia.

There are over 20 hiking trails in the park and most are easy. Blackwater Falls Trail is a moderate hike and will take about 20 minutes to complete.

This whimsical path along the Elakala to Yellow Birch Trail leads to another spot you’ll want a camera for.

It's a moderate hike that will take about two hours to complete.

Elakala Falls is a popular and peaceful destination along the path.

Balanced Rock Trail is scenic and quiet.

It's an easy hike that is popular for birding and will take about an hour to complete.

The Lindy Point Overlook is an incredible view in the spring and summer.

This easy hike only takes about 20 minutes in and out.

Lindy Point in the fall is also quite remarkable.

Farm Up Table, a short drive away in Thomas, is a solid choice for food after a fun day hiking.

What began as a food truck has also become a brick-and-mortar destination.
