Take A Virtual Tour Through A Sea Of Over 300 Acres Of Tulips In The Skagit Valley In Washington

Every April, thousands of Washingtonians gather for a beloved spring tradition: the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. Between the 300 acres of gorgeous, vibrant tulip fields, the fun farm activities, and visiting our favorite spots in places like Mount Vernon and LaConner, it makes for an incredible day trip and weekend getaway.

This year, for everyone's safety, the tulip festival has been canceled. But those beautiful tulips will still bloom, and you're always welcome to tour the fields virtually, which is the next best thing to being there.

The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival is a time-honored tradition that dates all the way back to 1984.

When some members of the Mount Vernon Chamber of Commerce noticed that hundreds of people were coming to check out the tulip fields, they decided to add some events and activities to make it more fun for everyone.

The festival started as a single weekend, eventually expanding to the entire month of April.

And now, thousands of people come from all over the Pacific Northwest to check out these acres of tulips.

Washington now boasts one of the top tulip festivals in the United States.

And the festival is fantastic for the local economy.

Over one million tulips bloom here every year.

And whether you go once in a lifetime or once a year, the first sight of those tulips fields always takes your breath away.

While it's unfortunate that we can't go see the tulips in person this year, there are still ways to support your local farmers and vendors.

You can order bouquets of tulips online, both for yourself and for others. And there's plenty of fantastic merchandise available on the festival website.

With any luck, we'll all be breathing in the fresh air and posing by the tulip fields next year.

In the meantime, make sure to enjoy the virtual experience.
