You’ll Never Forget A Visit To Schreiner Farms, A One-Of-A-Kind Exotic Animal Ranch In Washington

Schreiner Farms in Washington offers a free drive-through experience to see exotic animals in a natural setting.

Sometimes the best things in life, indeed, are free. That certainly is the case with Schreiner Farms. Nestled in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area on over 12,000 acres of land lies an unforgettable, one-of-a-kind exotic animal ranch in Washington. And the best part is, it's free to visit!

Located in Lyle, Washington, Schreiner Farms is a working cattle ranch with over a dozen species of exotic animals.

Although the ranch is open to drive-through visitors, there are a few rules to keep in mind. As it is an operating ranch, visitors must stay in their vehicles at all times and yield to farm traffic. No smoking or littering and please do not throw food or objects of any kind outside your vehicle.

Unlike traditional zoos, animals like the Black Buck Antelope are free to roam wide-open grasslands and vast hillsides on the ranch.

Black Buck Antelopes are capable of running at speeds up to 50 mph, making them one of the fastest animals.

You might catch a glimpse of the largest land mammal, the American Bison, roaming the plains of Schreiner farms.

Bactrian or double-humped camels are cold-climate mammals with a life expectancy between 30to 50 years. You'll find these Camelids wandering the ranch and grazing on grass.

Resident emus wander the ranch serving as a welcoming committee of sorts.

Larger than a wallaby, yet smaller than a kangaroo, wallaroos bounce their way through the grassy fields of Schreiner's.

You can't miss the bold stripes of the majestic zebra. Native to central and southern Africa, these beautiful creatures are members of the horse family.

Because you'll be in a moving vehicle, you'll want to have your camera ready to capture photos of all the magnificent animals like these giraffes.

Proceed slowly for the best viewing and for the safety of the animals and farm residents.

The Schreiner Farms Ranch is an undeniably unique animal adventure you will never forget. The free drive-through experience is open daily from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Visit the Schreiner Farms official website for more details about the animals and property.
