One of the most unique aspects of visiting the park is that you'll likely be in the company of some wild ponies. These small horses graze on the vegetation of the mountains and when you see them, you can't help but feel moved.
Remember to keep a healthy distance between you and the ponies, and please don't feed them. The pony herd is currently managed by the Wilburn Ridge Pony Association.
