When you think of swimming holes with waterfalls, Bingham Falls, Bristol Falls, and Warren Falls quickly come to mind. But the underrated Pikes Falls in Vermont is a big swimming hole with a rocky beach that families have come to love.
Pikes Falls in Jamaica is one of Vermont's largest natural swimming pools. The falls themselves drop around 20 feet in two stages creating a gorgeous cascading spray.
The pool with its crisp clear water measures around 40 feet by 25 feet and has a depth of up to 10 feet.
Slide down the smooth rocks through the flowing water. You'll love this natural water slide.
Hang out on the rocky beach, there's plenty of room to spread out a towel and watch the action in the pool.
The hike to this waterfall beach is short, which means you'll spend less time walking and more time swimming.
Pikes Falls is on Pikes Falls Road in Jamaica, Vermont near where Day Road connects to it. Look for a dirt pull off across the street from a white house.
