If you search for “fall festival near me in Salt Lake City,” this annual event is likely on the list. Taking place every Saturday and Sunday from August 10 - October 13, 2024, this is one of the largest fall festivals in Utah. Enjoy a weekend full of live music, Bavarian food, more than 50 varieties of beers, and lots of activities. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself visiting multiple times throughout the season.
Not only is the Utah Honey Harvest Festival one of the best fall festivals in Utah, it is one of the newer fall events as well. This year, the event will take place October 11-12, 2024, and is where you can enjoy world honey tasting. Participate in beekeeping demonstrations, pony and camel rides, wagon rides, honey contests, and so much more — you'll never be bored.
The New Harmony Apple Festival has become a southern Utah tradition for 25 years. Held the second Saturday in October, this festival is free to attend but is also a fundraiser for the town’s volunteer fire department. This event features live music, vendors, mechanical bull riding, fire safety demonstrations, and, of course, the well-known New Harmony apples. Mark your calendars for October 12, 2024, to attend one of the best fall festivals in southern Utah.
One of my favorite fall festivals near Logan, Utah is held at the American West Heritage Center in Wellsville. Mark your calendars for October 18-19, 2024, as this festival has something for the entire family including a corn maze, hay activities, train and pony rides, and even a bison tour. If you are up for even more thrills and adventures, check out the haunted hollow as well.
Located in the Ashton Gardens at Thanksgiving Point is one of the most family-friendly fall festivals in Utah — the Scarecrow Festival. Here, you can not only enjoy the gorgeous fall foliage in the 50-acre gardens, but you can walk around and admire the dozens of scarecrows of all shapes and sizes. Plus, if you visit the Thursday-Saturday of the event, you’ll also enjoy vendors, activities, and lots of food. This event is October 14-19, 2024.
6. Cedar Livestock and Heritage Festival, Cedar City
The Cedar City Livestock Heritage Festival celebrates the area’s agricultural history and it’s a one-of-a-kind event. Held October 25-26, 2024, the schedule for this event is filled with all types of livestock and agriculture-related events like a ranch rodeo, cowboy poetry, antique tractor and horse pulls, Dutch oven cooking contest, and, of course, the sheep parade featuring more than 1,000 sheep.

Cornbelly’s is one of the most well-known pumpkin patches in Utah and has two locations — Thanksgiving Point and Spanish Fork. Each location offers dozens of activities including a corn maze, rides, slides, games, and more. Come hungry and enjoy some of the delicious food and then go on a hunt for pumpkins in the pumpkin patch. This will easily become one of your favorite fall day trips in Utah.
If you find yourself in Cache Valley this fall, a visit to Little Bear Bottoms in Wellsville is an absolute must. This family-friendly destination includes a corn maze, giant straw pyramid, spooky barn ride, and of course, the pumpkin patch. Here, you’ll find pumpkins and gourds in a variety of colors and sizes.
A Country Farm is a family-owned and operated farm in Payson. This pumpkin patch is a bit unique because it doesn’t offer the activities that other locations do on our list. Rather, it is where you can purchase farm-fresh produce. In addition to large and beautiful pumpkins, you can pick tomatoes, watermelon, beets, potatoes, cucumbers, peaches, corn, cantaloupe, and so much more.
Judd Pumpkin Patch is located in southern Utah, just a short drive from Cedar City. This family-owned pumpkin patch is where you can not only search for the perfect pumpkin and pick it right off the vine, but you can also pet farm animals and take a wagon ride. I recommend you spend a few minutes standing still and enjoying the beautiful views surrounding the farm — it’s gorgeous here.
