What every Utahn needs on a hot, summer day is a hike in the cool Wasatch mountains, am I right? This pretty little hike takes you right up Little Cottonwood Canyon along a trail lined with pines, surrounded by grassy meadows and wildflowers.
Cecret Lake isn't much of a secret...it's a very popular hike in Little Cottonwood Canyon.
To reach the trailhead, drive up Little Cottonwood Canyon to the Albion Basin Campground.
The 1.5-mile round-trip hike is easy.
You'll gain just 300 feet in elevation along the way.
The views are amazing.
You'll see plenty of wildlife, both small...
...and large!
Moose are plentiful in this canyon, so keep an eye out for these gorgeous creatures.
Wildflowers grow everywhere along this hike!

The payoff at the end of this hike is the beautiful Cecret Lake.
It's a cold, clear lake, surrounded by rugged mountains and wildflowers.
From Cecret Lake, you can continue on to Sugarloaf Peak.
The hike becomes more strenuous as you make your way to the top, but the view is amazing!
