Utah is no stranger to gorgeous waterfalls. In fact, we created a list of more than a dozen waterfalls that will take your breath away. However, there is one waterfall located in southern Utah, near Brian Head Ski Resort, that is often overlooked on these lists. With just a short trail, you can reach these falls and find yourself surrounded by pure natural beauty. And the best time to view this waterfall? In the spring.
You can find the trailhead for this out-and-back waterfall hike less than 15 miles from Interstate 15, near the small town of Parowan, and on your way to Brian Head Ski Resort.
The hike to Hidden Haven Waterfall is only 1.4 miles. While it is considered a family-friendly hiking trail in Utah, there are some challenging areas including some large rocks and unstable terrain that you’ll have to tackle.
This trail starts out relatively easy. It is well-maintained, making this part of the journey enjoyable.
You’ll also enjoy the luxury of shade throughout most of this hike. While the trees not only surround you with natural beauty, they also keep you cool, even on a hot summer day.
Eventually, the trail looks like it ends, but don’t be fooled! You’ll have to climb the rocks and follow the water.
Once you reach Hidden Haven Waterfall, you’ll know it. This waterfall flows down red rocks with a tall and gorgeous mountain backdrop — it’s quite a magnificent sight!
During the spring, this waterfall comes to life. It is one of the best waterfalls in Utah to view in the spring.
