You’ll Be Pleased To Hear That Texas’ Upcoming Winter Is Supposed To Be Warmer And Drier Than Ever

The Farmer's Almanac winter predictions are in, and our holiday season here in Texas looks about the same as usual: hot and dry. Keep reading to learn why and what the rest of the country can expect in the months to come.

It appears most of the country will be joining us this year where temperature is concerned, with tiny pockets of cold scattered across the states. Overall, it's going to be an unusual winter full of a lot less white Christmases and snow angels.

There are a few reasons to explain the forecast, the first being a decrease in solar activity.

El Nino is the other cause. The current will be weaker than normal this year, so cold air masses won't have an opportunity to linger and illicit much of a temperature drop.

We're also supposed to see below-normal levels of precipitation. Nothing gets you in the holiday spirit quite like a hot, bone-dry winter.

At least us Texans are already fairly skilled at improvising when it comes to snowmen. Maybe this season won't be so bad after all!
