Some of the best in the state can be found at Granny Claire's Citrus in Harlingen, Texas, a little-known orchard nestled way down in the Rio Grande Valley. You'll find Granny Claire's Citrus nestled along a narrow strip of land in the lower Rio Grande Valley. With abundant sunshine and a cool Gulf Breeze, this area produces some of the best grapefruit in the world.

Only the finest Texas Rio Star grapefruit flourishes on acres of lush greenery. Picked fresh daily, the fruits haven't lost an ounce of vitality by the time you get snacking.

Visit the store and pick up a container of grapefruit that has already been peeled. You don't have to do any of the hard work—just add a little sugar on top and dig in!

For a "mixed bag" of sorts, trays with half grapefruit and half orange are also available. Choose from two types of oranges: Marrs and Navel. Marrs oranges, which contain no seeds, are relatively unknown outside of Texas.
