When you're mulling over how to spend the day, why not have it include a stop at Snake Den State Park, which boasts some of the best fall foliage in Johnston, Rhode Island?

You'll find a small parking lot along Brown Avenue and across from Dame Farm.

However, the park takes on a magical aura when the leaves begin their transformation from lush shades of green to magnificent hues of orange, red, and gold.

Because of its undeveloped state, the picturesque park offers just a few amenities, including archery, scenic overlooks, and hiking trails.

The longest trail in the Rhode Island state park usually takes just under three hours to complete.
