Be on the lookout for a small parking lot that lets you know you’ve arrived at the Rhode Island wildlife preserve.

The best way to explore this natural attraction is on a leisurely stroll along its lone walking trail. Wear comfy shoes, but don’t expect anything too challenging on this path that leads to sensational views.

Along the way to the water, you’ll pass meadows brimming with flowers, such as goldenrod, common aster, and butter and eggs. Stop to smell the flowers, but remember to only bring out with you what you take in.
