Dine In Nostalgia At This Clam Shack In Rhode Island That Will Take You Back In Time
Any Rhode Islander in their late twenties and older likely has some fond memories of Rocky Point Amusement Park. While the major New England attraction has long been closed, its name is somehow still constantly brought up at everything from lines at your local Cumberland farms to family parties. Did you know there are a few ways to remember the wonderful amusement park? One of them even involves food!
Rocky Point Clam Shack is located at 1689 Post Road in the city of Warwick.
This casual and delicious outdoor restaurant honors the memory of the former Rhode Island based amusement park that operated from 1840 until 1996.
The clam shack serves up all your favorite Ocean State classics.
They even use the same time honored recipes that were once so popular at Rocky Point.
Enjoy all sorts of seafood from clam cakes and chowder to lobster rolls and so much more!
They even offer all three types of chowder: red, white, and clear.
Let's not forget about the amazing doughboys you've missed for all these years since the park closed.
Comfort food bliss.
They even started offering live music this year, reminiscent of their old concerts. Catch local acts including Tammy & Jeana, Savannah Smith, and more!
Visit on Wednesday evenings to participate in their weekly open mic.
Visiting Rocky Point Clam Shack in the summer is a true experience in nostalgia.
You can make a whole Rocky Point memory trip and head straight to the gorgeous park that now occupies the same land as the amusement park.
