Slateford Creek Falls Trail In Pennsylvania Will Lead You Straight To The Lower Falls

You don't have to devote a whole day to it if you don't have the time.

Slip on your sturdiest hiking boots - you're going to need them - before setting off on Slateford Creek Falls Trail, heading to the Lower Falls.

You can also embark on another part of the trail that leads to the Upper Falls.

Tucked in Bangor, the moderately difficult trail promises sheer natural beauty no matter what season you hike it.

However, be prepared for some steep, rocky terrain as you make the trek down the .07-mile trail.

The trail, which will take you past flowing water, can also be slippery, especially after it rains and during the winter.

Feel the cool mist of the lower falls when you arrive at the waterfall. You'll probably hear the Lower Falls before the beautiful natural wonder comes into view.

While you can't swim in the shallow pool into which the waterfall tumbles, you can wade in the cool water.

You can double back to return to the beginning of the trail. If you keep going on the trail, however, you will arrive at the Upper Falls, also picture-perfect all year round.
