The beach makes an idyllic setting for a day out, no matter the time of the year. If we prefer quiet, we can take long strolls along the pristine sand during the cold months. Then, when we need to cool off during the hottest months of the year, we have quite a few sandy beaches to spend the day. For some of the most pristine sand in the state, plan a trip to one of the beaches at Presque Isle State Park in Pennsylvania.
Nestled along the shore of Lake Erie, Presque Isle State Park boasts more than a dozen stunning, pristine sand beaches, drawing beach lovers from all over Pennsylvania.
Boasting the only "surf swimming" in the state, the beaches offer something for everyone, whether you're craving relative quiet or you want to be in the middle of all of the action.
Waterworks Beach (Beach #7) and Pettinato Beach (Beach #8) are both ADA-accessible and offer a full menu of amenities, including ramps. You can also get a beach wheelchair from the Public Safety Building.
Bring your kites along if you're visiting Budny Beach, home to Sunset Point - where you can fly your kite or even go windsurfing.
Sit back and marvel at the seagulls at Gull Point, also at Budny Beach. The beach features a concession stand with food and drinks, bathrooms, and changing areas.
If it's quiet time you crave, head to one of the Mill Road Beaches. Swimming isn't allowed at the five beaches, but you can stroll along the pristine sand, and...
Drink in the unspoiled views. Take lunch along for a relaxing picnic, or stop by to watch the sun set.
