Even if we like a good challenge, most of us will probably admit that sometimes we just want to take it easy, too. Fortunately, Pennsylvania has so many hiking trails - from simple strolls to strenuous hikes - that we can all find something that fits our skill level and our moods. When you're in the mood for a leisurely hike that promises beautiful scenery, set off on this easy trail in Pennsylvania.
Set your GPS for Warwick County Park, in Pottstown, where you'll find the trailhead for the easy yet picturesque Warwick North Loop Trail.
The three-mile loop trail boasts predominately flat terrain, with few elevation changes, which should make it easy for hikers of all ages and skill levels.
You can even bring your pup along; just make sure to keep him leashed and clean up after him.
Start your hike at Mt. Pleasant Road, near what used to be the Sow Belly Rail Line's bed. You'll stroll a bit along the former rail line.
Head into a forested area, where you'll get a break from the golden sunshine under the shade of the trees.
Stop and smell the wildflowers, when in season, in the meadow. The hike is particularly pretty during the fall.
You'll also hike along French Creek, where you'll see a tiny waterfall, and arrive at a scenic overlook, the perfect spot to relax and to snap photos.
Address: 191 County Park Road, Pottstown, PA, 19465
